GED Partner Marc Eisenhart hosted a CLE about the ethical obligations attorneys have when dealing with anti-SLAPP. (Code Civ. Proc., § 425.16.) He summarized that attorneys must have someone reviewing complaints or petitions for anti-SLAPP issues before filing. Otherwise, attorneys may violate their ethical duties of communication and competence.
Contact Marc Eisenhart to learn more about anti-SLAPP, the ethical obligations it raises, or if you have a case involving those issues.
