“I think the most valuable thing that a lawyer can do for the client is to give that person peace of mind,” says Nick Emanuel, who represents clients in both civil and criminal matters. “The area of the law that I focus on gives me the opportunity to have a significant and positive effect on the lives of others.”
As a Criminal Defense attorney, Nick has extensive experience protecting his clients’ rights—by negotiating favorable resolutions, securing the dismissal of all charges prior to trial, or winning acquittal at trial. His many successes in the civil arena are highlighted by a multi-million dollar jury verdict for the plaintiff in a fraud/breach of contract case. Other achievements include a trial win for his client in a commercial real estate dispute, wherein he persuaded the judge to exclude nearly all of the opposing party’s evidence, compelling a dismissal of the case, all before the jury was impaneled.
Nick’s appellate practice is exemplified by the published opinion of Murray's Iron Works, Inc. v. Boyce (2008) 158 Cal.App.4th 1279, a case which is now cited by numerous professional journals and treatises.
Nick is admitted to practice before all California State Courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
“What sets me apart from other attorneys is a practical approach,” he says. “Let’s get from point A to point B in an efficient way, in a way that makes sense to the client. I’m someone who listens to their problems and concerns.”
